Subtronics ends an era of his mix series with the final release of Now That’s What I Call Riddim that is filled to the brim with some heavy tracks!

Subtronics has made a colossal name for himself in the bass music community through his immaculate production in his original tunes and mix series titled Now That’s What I Call Riddim. Releasing four volumes over the past two years, each one received substantial SoundCloud plays and much praise. Now, on Now That’s What I Call Riddim Volume 5, he has saved the best for last – both with a guest intro appearance and a stellar selection of bass songs.

Ahead of his Cyclops Tour, Subtronics decided to release the final installment of his Now That’s What I Call Riddim series with Volume 5. His reasoning for ending this successful series of mixes is due to the number of dubstep songs he uses in these. He stated on Twitter “I will probably at some point give a longwinded explanation as to why this is most likely the last one, mainly being that there’s literally only so many dubstep songs and I’ve already used 500+.”

Volume 5 ends the series with a bang! It features a special guest intro from none other than DJ Diesel aka Shaq himself and a plethora of dubstep songs from the likes of Moody Good, Subfiltronik, Zeds Dead, Skrillex and many more. Listen to the mix below and check out the absolutely massive tracklist as well!

As a fan of Subtronics, it has been absolutely surreal watching his rise to fame over the last couple of years.

His style is chock-full of cool vocal snippets and wompy bass beats. He’s had plenty of successful releases on Never Say Die, Deadbeats, and a whole bunch of independent record releases. Further, his hit collab with GRiZ titled “Griztronics” has been rinsed out in the festival circuit heavily. I can’t wait to see what’s to come from one of the best artists in the bass music scene this year!
