Jaenga has gifted us with a first-listen of his new tune “Feel So Good,” due out on the Primitive EP on December 18.

Deadbeats artist and after-hours party host Jaenga has been firmly on our radar this year ever since we caught him at Electric Forest. A former cinematographer who is now following his dreams of being a full-time artist, he is known for bringing his famous Jaenga Bus to festival RV lots all across the country.

Jaenga mentioned in our interview back in June that an EP was due within the next few months, and now, the wait is finally over. Primitive, which is due out December 18, will feature three tracks that perfectly capture his refreshing style. Speaking about the upcoming release, he stated: “Writing the Primitive EP took me back to the roots of underground NY dubstep culture. Pushing boundaries and starting movements, employing simplistic vocals, and heavy rolling basslines.”

In anticipation of the new EP, we secured a first-listen to “Feel So Good” so you can get a taste of what’s in store. Pre-save Primitive now, listen to the track below, and read on for our take on the new release!

The intro to “Feel So Good” will grab your attention right away, as it has a suspenseful throwback dubstep vibe.

While the buildup gradually gets more intense, the dreamy feel so good lyrics set the tone of the track. The first drop then hits with bass and wobbles that are sure to satisfy all generations of dubstep fans. The breakdown continues the theme of the rest of the track: old school bass music sounds with a new school twist. “Feel So Good” then closes with a perfect variation of the first drop.

Primitive is the follow up to Jaenga’s Toulambi EP and it’s clear that Jaenga is an artist that’s here to stay.

The other two songs, “Bone Breaker (Mind Shaker)” and “On To The Next One,” are impressive and once again capture his incredible dubstep style. It’s obvious that Jaenga is a true fan of the genre. He’s doing what he loves and continues to succeed at everything he tries. Be sure to pre-save Primitive now and keep an eye on Jaenga for more big things in the future.
