CharlestheFirst, tiedye ky, and VCTRE are bringing their buttery smooth beats to the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, Friday, November 8.
In the upper echelon of bass music producers, there are few as consistently excellent as CharlestheFirst. There are plenty of artists with larger catalogs, but I would venture to say there are few who have maintained such a high level of quality. And, after releasing an incredible album last year dubbed The Ascent and a brand new EP No Dimmer this year, he’s secured his place on my list of rising stars.
Adding to the mix are his sets that keep fans coming back for more with each round. Riding a wave of success this year, he’s also set to take the stage at some major festivals including Suwannee Hulaween and Freaky Deaky this month, along with Okeechobee and Bassnectar’s Deja Voom in 2020. But if you’re looking for a more intimate setting, his tour is where you should catch him play live, and on Friday, November 8 he’ll be heading to the El Rey Theatre in LA.
Compared to the previous time he stopped through Los Angeles, I’m expecting this venue to be a major improvement both in terms of capacity and sound quality. I’m also excited to see the journey he can take us on with this performance now that he has some more mellow tunes in his arsenal.
This is the only Southern California stop on his 2019 Fall Winter Tour, so be sure not to miss it. He’ll be joined by tiedye ky and VCTRE for the night, so make sure to arrive early so you can catch the full show. Tickets are on sale now via AXS!
