Dirtybird Campout West is just a week away and with so many amazing artists at the Bass Lodge we know you need a taste of what’s in store!
Dirtybird Campout West is rapidly approaching and the excitement is at an all-time high. Returning to the Modesto Reservoir for the second time, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for this year’s edition. The three-day event will have a variety of camp activities ranging from archery, ax throwing, dodgeball, and so much more but the music is what truly will take the cake.
Hosting two stages of music that include a wide variety of house, techno, bass, experimental beats, and genres in between, Dirtybird Campout really stands out from the rest of the scene. Generally speaking, The Birdhouse is the home of those groovy and vibey house beats while the Bass Lodge hosts a wider variety of bass and earth moving experimental sounds.
This year’s Bass Lodge will host some incredible collaborations such as Eprom b2b Barlcay Crenshaw, Eric B. & Rakim, WJATTA (Reggie Waatts + John Tejada). It was very exciting to see Justin Jay and Sage Armstrong, two of my personal favorites returning to the lodge as well. When you’re not playing games, splashing around in the lake, or enjoying the comic antics of amateur comedians these sets are sure to have you dancing well into the early morning.
As we all get ready for this wild weekend adventure I went ahead and put together a playlist for that long drive between your hometown and the Modesto Resevoir. There are a number of artists who even I hadn’t dug deep to listen to yet and after discovering them I’m now even more excited for what’s in store. Be sure to keep track of songs you love and I’ll see you on the dance floor!
Don’t delay and be sure to grab your tickets soon on Eventbrite, you won’t regret it! Let us know if you’re coming to this year’s edition of Dirtybird Campout in the comments below.
