Even though Shambhala Music Festival just completed its latest edition we’re already looking forward to another round of amazing vibes in 2020!
It was just over a month ago that we made our way to Shambhala Music Festival and joined the “farmily” in a rich tradition of love and openness. It was an experience so moving that even after the festival concluded and we were on our trip home, I knew I would need to return next year. Continuing its reign as one of the most transformational festivals that you can attend in North America, now the planning for the 2020 edition of the festival can truly commence.
Changing things up a bit in 2020, Shambhala will take place in July instead of it’s usual August time frame. This move will hopefully reduce the risk of rain and put more space between festivals in an ever-increasing market of events. Since the festival takes place on their own land, they’re constantly looking for ways to expand their stages, bring in innovative art, and improve the experience for all who attend. Shambhala is also marked by a lack of corporate sponsorships, a ban on alcohol, and an industry-leading approach to harm reduction that should be the golden standard for all festivals.
