What was your first electronic music event?
Mike Posner dropped some bangers during homecoming at Colorado State, but Electric Forest has to be considered my first exposure to the electronic music scene. Spoiled, I know.
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
I was practically dragged to the Electric Forest by people who I have now come to wholly trust.
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
ODESZA’s set the first night of the Electric Forest in 2015. Their remix of “Something About You” hit differently, like nothing I’d ever heard.
What is your favorite festival or event?
The Forest was and is my special place (I’ll finally be returning next year), but any show at Red Rocks Amphitheater is tough to top.
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
It certainly depends on the mood, but I’ll never turn off Ayokay – Queen (feat. Quinn XCII).
Who are your favorite artists?
Opia, Whethan, Jauz, Emmit Fenn, DROELOE, and Yoshi Flower.
What are your favorite genres?
Indie Electronica, Any House, Trap, Dubstep… all over the board.
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
I consider myself an avid consumer, albeit a relatively quiet one. I went to school in an area absent a defined and established electronic music scene. I have always been interested in a career in music journalism, and I’m hopeful that my presence in this idyllic community will begin to evolve.
Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?
I don’t enjoy being in pictures.
