Minimal house & techno mainstay Boris Brejcha has released his Butterflies EP while wrapping up the last weekend of his first ever US tour.

Not many artists in the electronic music world can boast that they’ve created their very own genre. However, in over thirteen years of his illustrious career, Germany’s Boris Brejcha has done just that. His self-described “High-Tech Minimal” brand of techno is on full display on his latest EP, Butterflies.

Released on Ultra Records, Butterflies has three tracks clocking in at a total of twenty-four minutes of music for your listening pleasure. The highly minimal and highly satisfying EP comes on the same weekend that Brejcha is wrapping up his first ever tour in the United States following massive appearances at Time Warp and Tomorrowland last year.

Listen to Boris Brejcha’s Butterflies EP on Spotify below, and purchase it now on Beatport!

Donning a mysterious Joker mask onstage, Boris Brejcha’s unique branding and sound result in an unforgettable experience in his High-Tech Minimal world.

With his first release coming all the way back in 2006, Boris Brejcha is well established in the European clubbing scene. Boasting a style dubbed “the intelligent music of tomorrow,” Brejcha creates a one-of-a-kind vibe with every release and show. With his own unique visuals and atmosphere, Boris Brejcha continuously shows us how exciting minimal techno can be.

Butterflies keeps that excitement going with three incredible tracks. “Redemption” brings a menacing, bass-heavy, warehouse techno vibe. The title track, “Butterflies“, is a club-ready song with powerful drums and a more dancey feel. Brejcha is known to seamlessly blend genres within his minimal style, and I really enjoy the subtle electro and trance elements in “Sternengleiter“, the final track on the EP.

Over an eventful Labor Day Weekend, Boris Brejcha will be making appearances at Miami’s Space, Electric Island festival in Toronto, and finally wrapping up his US tour at Chicago’s Sound-Bar.

Some fans have been waiting upward of a decade to see Boris Brejcha, but tickets still remain for Electric Island! I encourage you to explore the High-Tech Minimal universe that Boris Brejcha has created. If you’re one of the lucky few who landed tickets months ago to his Sound-Bar show, I’ll see you Sunday night on the dance floor!
