i_o Shows Us the ‘House of God’ with New EP on mau5trap

in New Releases

Returning to his familiar home at mau5trap, i_o has shown us the door to the House of God with his latest EP stocked full of tracks that will blow your mind!

There is no doubt about it that this year has been a massive one for rising superstar i_o. Riding a serious wave of success into 2019, he hasn’t slowed down in the slightest as he continues to release banging tunes, deliver unreal sets at festivals like Ultra Music Festival and EDC Las Vegas, and grow his rabid fanbase of techno demons. Now, he’s returned to his familiar home of mau5trap to gift us with some new music in the shape of the House of God EP.

This summer already saw the release of i_o’s collaboration with Jauz, “Truth”, that had us dancing away so this new EP comes as a welcome addition to our playlists as well. Clocking in at four tracks in total, House of God brings some serious firepower to his already impressive arsenal of tracks. “Possession” starts the EP off right with a larger than life techno sound that will have listeners shuffling away in absolutely no time as they soak in the booming bass and infectious vocal sample interlaced throughout.

From there, the EP digs deeper into the techno realm with the title track “House of God” that evokes not just i_o’s signature underground vibes but an infusion of spacey, trance-like elements as well. The vocal on this track just hits the right mark as i_o weaves the beat seamlessly into the track before taking things down a notch on “Ghost in the Machine” that interlaces some synthy-goodness and a melody you can’t help but bob your head to. Completing the EP is “Come with Me” which sees i_o team up with fellow rising star Raito for a techno banger full of distorted, computerized vocal chops and a larger than life sound.

Take a listen to this massive release from i_o on Spotify below, download or stream the House of God EP on your preferred platform, and tell us what you think of these new tracks in the comments below!
