With HARD Summer coming up this weekend, we are taking a step back in time to 2015 with Jack Ü’s hit with Justin Bieber “Where Are Ü Now”.
HARD Summer holds a special place in my heart. It was the very first music festival I attended back in 2014, back when I knew nothing about dance music or festivals in general. It sparked my love for dance music instantly and the rest is history! With the upcoming edition of the festival on the horizon, we wanted to bring it back to 2015 when Jack Ü performed their worldwide hit, “Where Are Ü Now” and brought out Justin Bieber as a special guest.

Back in 2014, I saw Jack Ü as HARD’s headliner and didn’t know anything about them – in fact, I didn’t even know it was Diplo and Skrillex‘s supergroup until much later on. Fast forward a year later and by that time everyone, and I mean everyone, knew who Jack Ü was. In particular, it was because their track “Where Are Ü Now” had become an instant hit. It combined a lighthearted, dance-pop type of sound, but also had the energy of a dance hit as well. On top of this, Justin Bieber lent his vocals to the track which brought it to a worldwide pop audience as well.
So, Jack Ü came back to perform at HARD Summer 2015, this time with an even bigger fan base and they decided to make it a truly special performance. Throughout the set they brought out numerous guests for each of their tracks including 2 Chainz, CL, Fly Boi Keno, Alunageorge, and closed out their performance with none other than Justin Bieber coming out for a performance of “Where Are Ü Now”. While I did not attend HARD this particular year, the videos prove that it was a lights out performance that I regret missing.
