What was your first electronic music event?
The first electronic music event I ever went to was Ultra Music Festival in Miami back in 2016.
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
It was my husband who influenced me to attend my first event. He had already gone to two festivals and was completely obsessed. When it was time for Ultra Music Festival to come back to Miami he was dying to go and wanted me to go with him. Though I was very skeptical as I had never been to an event like this before, I quickly realized why he was so passionate about EDM after attending.
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
The most special moment from an event was when I got engaged at EDC Orlando 2017. I was surrounded by many of my close friends as my fiancé got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Jauz was playing in the background and the beat dropped as I said “Yes!” sending fireworks exploding in the air, literally.
What is your favorite festival or event?
My favorite festival is hands down EDC Las Vegas even though Ultra Miami will always hold a special place in my heart since it is the first one I attended.
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
My favorite electronic song is “Hold My Hand” by Jess Glynne remixed by Chris Lake. This is the song my husband deemed to be “our song” and was our first dance song at our wedding.
Who are your favorite artists?
My favorite artist of all time is Oliver Heldens. I have seen him live over 10 times! His music never gets old. Other artists I love are Tiesto, Kaskade, Kayzo, Jauz, Marshmello, and Party Favor.
What are your favorite genres?
I mostly like house music as well as trap, however, I do love all different kinds of music.
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
I feel my identity in the electronic music community is as a role model. I try my best to emulate the ideals of being PLUR and work daily to give advice or tips to other members attending shows.
Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?
I feel very passionately about the EDM community. Through dance music scene I have made many friends from around the world. The love and connection you feel to total strangers is indescribable and something I wish more people would be open to experiencing. I thoroughly enjoy being someone who other members of the community feel comfortable coming to for advice or even a listening ear. There is nothing better than spreading the passion I have for EDM with everyone around me!
