Nick Murphy, formerly known as Chet Faker, announces new album Run Fast Sleep Naked and his first tour since 2017.

Nick Murphy is ready to officially leave his previous alias, Chet Faker, in the past with his the upcoming release of full-length sophomore album, Run Fast Sleep Naked. The widely acclaimed artist will treat his fans to eleven new tracks, and a multi-continental global tour, to boot. Murphy is set to headline over 40 shows throughout 2019 with stops in Australia, the US, and Europe. Run Fast Sleep Naked will mark his first release since the critically acclaimed Built On Glass (released as Chet Faker), released in 2014.

The album’s passionate lead single, “Sanity,” features driving piano melodies, vibrant, global music-infused basslines, and his unflinchingly authentic lyrics. This track is the perfect indication of how Murphy’s time away from the spotlight has gone. Throughout the four-year album creation process, he traveled around the world alone. Bringing with him only a microphone, he recorded his vocals in places and environments that inspired him most, including his grandmother’s living room, a studio in Tokyo, a vacation rental he shared with his family in New Zealand, and his own New York City apartment. I believe he will return bigger and stronger than Chet Faker ever could be.

During his time making Run Fast Sleep Naked, Murphy dove deep within himself as an artist to truly discover his own transcendent songwriting abilities. Those abilities are showcased front and center on “Sanity” as he explores a musical realm that few artists can–constantly questioning, and arriving at fragments of truth.

The full album will drop on April 28, so pre-order or pre-save Run Fast Sleep Naked on your favorite platform.

After Murphy’s extensive time away from the stage, I cannot wait to see what he has in store on the Run Fast Sleep Naked Tour this year.

Don’t miss your shot at catching the new material live when the Run Fast Sleep Naked Tour comes to a city near you as he’s set to embark on a trek around the globe in 2019. Starting in Australia, he’ll be making the jump to North America in May and June before heading to Europe to close out the tour in the fall.

Tickets for most US, Europe, and Australia shows are available for purchase now via https://nickmurphy.com.

Logan Garrison

It was a decade ago that Logan Garrison, better known as DJ Lo_G, first took the stage to spin sets for crowds in the snowy towns of Lake Tahoe and Aspen. Originally spinning sounds in the realm of glitch and bass music, he began to develop a passion for all things house as he returned to his hometown and hasn’t looked back since. Over the years, DJ Lo_G has become a fixture in the Aspen nightlife scene as he has found a home at Belly Up and regularly warms up the stage for some of dance music’s biggest artists like The Chainsmokers, Chris Lake, Slow Magic, Nora En Pure, and most recently ZHU. Joining the EDM Identity team back in 2018, he’s dug even deeper into dance music and the festival scene. Whether he’s covering events like Mysteryland and shows in Aspen, interviewing artists like Hannah Wants, and reviewing fresh releases, his passion for the entire community shines throughout.
