What was your first electronic music event?
My very first small event was seeing Ookay and Lumberjvck at Peabody’s Nightclub in Virginia Beach, VA. My very first big music event was Moonrise 2018 and I have to say, that was the best first festival experience I could ever ask for.
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
I got into a relationship in 2016 and my ex was very big on going to shows. So I tagged along to see what it was all about and I have to say, I do not regret it at all. I would never look back. Shortly after I started promoting for Steez Promo and since then, my life is wonderful going to these shows and just seeing all these people.
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
I was determined to make a totem for Moonrise and any upcoming festivals I was planning on attending. So I made myself into “Gum Girl” and I bought over $150 worth of gum to make it happen! I made the totem but the rain made it all come apart. Before going to Lost Lands, I remade that totem (but better of course) and it was just so amazing how many people recognized who I was and how many people I was able to recognize back and give hugs to.
What is your favorite festival or event?
So far my favorite has to be Lost Lands, take me home to the dinos!
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
My favorite song, now that’s hard but I’m going to say Zomboy’s “Rebel Bass”!
Who are your favorite artists?
I love Excision, Zomboy, Zeds Dead, Dion Timmer, Dubloadz, Herobust, Joyride, Illenium, Ganja White Night, Sullivan King, Midnight T, Griz, and so many more!
What are your favorite genres?
I love all of the music and I can get jiggy with it all but my heart belongs to dubstep, I love that heavy filthy music and I can feel it in my soul.
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
I feel my identity is to help others as much as I can. I’m very aware of my surroundings whether it’s at a show or a festival. I’ll go up to people to make sure if they need water, need some gum, or even just need to sit down. Ohana means family and family doesn’t get left behind.
Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?
If you see me at a festival or show, I’m always prepared with any flavor of gum you want! Don’t be afraid to come up and say hi! I love meeting everyone!
