What was your first electronic music event?
It was a MEGA DC back in 2015 in Washington, DC at Echostage! I went with a friend in college and saw Snails, Grillz, Bro Safari and more!
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
I’ve always been attracted to EDM and I’ve always wanted to go to the shows and festivals. I just never knew where to start and my friend in college came in and told me that I had to see Snails live and stood there and watched me purchased my ticket. [Laughs]
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
A special moment for me was when I went to Spring Awakening in 2018 and I never really get on the Ferris wheel rides just cause the lines are usually SO long, but the crew decided to hop on and once we got to the top, just looking down at thousands of people dancing, singing, laughing and smiling made me realize that this is what I want to do forever.
I remember getting on the ride with my boyfriend and our friends and just thinking, “wow, we made it!” The energy that night was amazing. I remember see Tchami’s set going on while the sun was going down behind the Chicago skyline. It was a very beautiful moment and another reason why that festival is my favorite.
What is your favorite festival or event?
Spring Awakening 2018 for sure! I’ve also had a blast at EDC Orlando this year. Basscenter X and Xl in Hampton, VA was a magical moment for me. Definitely opened my eyes and allowed me to see the world and people differently. I enjoyed every bit of it!
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
Gosh, it’s so hard to pick just ONE song. As of right now, I’m currently obsessed with “Behemoth” by Svdden Death. It has become an anthem now and gets me going every time it drops on a set!
Who are your favorite artists?
My favorite artists are Joyryde, DJ Snake, Tchami, Mercer, Malaa (PMF CREW), Chris Lake, 4B, Galantis. I love Alison Wonderland, Subtronics, Ganja White Night, and Odesza! There’s so many more that I love! That’s just to name a few!
What are your favorite genres?
I love it all, but I do favor house music over everything. I love to shuffle and jam out to all my favorite house artist!
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
I feel like my identity in the EDM community is definitely being the shuffler and a bright spirit to everyone. A lot of others have recognized me for being a shuffler and dancing at all kinds of events but not just the dancing, I like to leave a good vibe and impression to everyone that I meet.
