Turning a new leaf for the new year, THIEVES is starting things off fresher than ever with a single titled “U GOT ME”!
Being open to evolving as a musician is incredibly important if you want to succeed in the ever-changing landscape of the music industry. For THIEVES, 2019 signaled a fresh take on his sound as he takes his project in an entirely new direction with new track “U GOT ME”. This direction is looking incredibly promising, with potential to transform his already successful career into something else.
Now, you may be asking who exactly is THIEVES and why haven’t I heard of him? Well, if you’ve listened to beats from the bass music scene you definitely have, as he is the artist formally known as PARTY THIEVES. Since he first burst onto the scene his trap hits have been played out by many fellow artists along with major festival sets and tour performances that catapulted him to the top.
After taking a brief hiatus, he took to Facebook to write a heartfelt note to his fans, thanking them for continuing to follow him, and announcing a new chapter with the name THIEVES. His debut single under the THIEVES alias is guaranteed to be a hit, and it dropped earlier this week on Mad Decent.
Upon my first listen I was incredibly impressed when I heard “U GOT ME”. Having seen him before and loving his aggressive festival trap sound I was expecting more of the same, however, this track is quite different but in the best way possible. It features the vocalist duo, CATZE and they layer the track with simple yet effective vocals. The track features lush future bass synths along with an amazing melody.
