EDC Korea 2019 Officially Announced by Insomniac Events

Grant Gilmore

Insomniac will be taking their renowned Electric Daisy Carnival brand to another location in Asia next year. Will you be heading to EDC Korea 2019?

Just when you thought the announcements coming from Pasquale Rotella and the team at Insomniac Events were over for the year, they’ve hit us with another piece of news that’s piqued our interest. That’s right, the news has come through today that they will be teaming up with PeterPan MPC to debut EDC Korea in 2019.

Set to be hosted at Seoulland, which is Korea’s first theme park and located in the city of Gwacheon, this upcoming edition of EDC Korea will be unlike any previous editions. Boasting of an on-site double-loop rollercoaster, a virtual reality cafe, among plenty of other unique attractions, the theme park will only be further enhanced by Insomniac’s signature immersive experience and top-of-the-line production elements.

“Right now, there’s an energy around dance music in South Korea that inspires us to bring EDC there. We have a great venue, an amazing partner, and most importantly, a community that is embracing dance culture in an exciting way. I look forward to another unique and memorable EDC experience at Seoulland.”

– Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac

While the announcement doesn’t come with a specific date or lineup, we do know that there will be three stages that will be pumping out beats throughout the event. EDC Korea marks the seventh location that the brand will have touched down internationally. After the success of the recent EDC Guangdong and EDC China in Shanghai along with multiple editions of EDC Japan, we can’t wait to see what will be brought to the table next year.

Stay tuned for more updates on EDC Korea and let us know if you’ll be taking a trip to Seoul in 2019 to experience this new edition of the festival!
