On Saturday, December 22, John Askew returns to Avalon Hollywood for his second Open-to-Close set at the venue this year!
Earlier this year John Askew rocked the Avalon Hollywood mainstage with a dynamic open-to-close set. He is sure to do the same this Saturday as he will be playing his second OTC set at Avalon this year! This time, his set will be part of his illustrious 6x6x6 tour: six-hour sets, in six different cities for a total of six shows. With his legacy and reputation at Avalon, it’s no surprise that Los Angeles made the cut.
Askew is, of course, no stranger to the art of the open to close set as he routinely plays 10-hour sets in Argentina and is also set to play a 10-hour set at Luminosity Beach Festival 2019. He is able to take listeners on an extended journey as he knows how to properly progress this particular type of set. From slowly building up with a touch of progressive to teetering the line between techno and trance before an all-out assault of tech-trance bangers, anyone attending should be prepared for a deep and multifaceted ride.
Rounding out the sounds of the night is one of the best side stages in Los Angeles. On this night the Pioneer Stage will be presented by Eternity and will feature musical stylings from the likes of Eddie Wonders, JoeFlow, Mahfous Roman, Manish Gupta, and Ruben Vallin.
