Let's Be Friends Destructo and DJ Diesel Avalon Hollywood

Don’t miss Destructo and DJ Diesel aka Shaquille O’Neal’s LA performance at Let’s Be Friends on December 1!

Next Saturday marks AMFAMFAMF’s Let’s Be Friends 2018 at Avalon Hollywood and boasts a unique not-to-be-missed lineup featuring Destructo aka Gary Richards and DJ Diesel, otherwise known as Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal. Richards has been a leader in the EDM industry since 2011 and has since gone on to release four EPs, collaborate with artists like REZZ and GTA, and found and run HARD events. Although HARD was acquired by Live Nation in 2012, Richards is currently President of LiveStyle North America, which recently launched the AMFAMFAMF brand.

Known for winning three consecutive NBA championships for the Lakers and his hilarious TV series “Shaqtin’ A Fool”, Shaquille O’Neal may be new to the DJ scene, but he’s no stranger to fame. In fact, he’s literally in the Hall of Fame. After making his DJ debut at TomorrowWorld 2015, O’Neal’s continued to hit the decks, making his way from Miami Music Week all the way to Ohio where he made a surprise appearance at this year’s Lost Lands Music Festival. Now he’s finally bringing his DJ stylings to LA, and trust us when we say that you’re going to want to be at Avalon next weekend to witness it firsthand.

Sydney attributes her love for music from her mom, who insisted on playing The Foo Fighters and The White Stripes rather than Kiss FM whenever she drove carpool and agreed to allow Sydney to attend Coachella in the eighth grade as long as she could go with her. That first festival only greater affirmed Sydney’s passion for the scene, but it was not until 2013 when she attended Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour concert in Los Angeles that she discovered electronic music. She was hooked instantly and has since attended a total of 23 festivals, with countless concerts in between. Sydney’s favorite artists include RL Grime, Jauz, Jai Wolf, Louis The Child, Slander, Bearson and Big Gigantic but she is constantly on the look out for new music and artists to dance to. When she’s not scouring the internet for new tracks or grooving at a concert, Sydney studies Journalism and Biology full-time at the University of Oregon.
