What was your first electronic music event?
My first event was called Are You Underground? In Phoenix Az, way back in 2006! I had never been to a rave before, but a friend of mine told me they were incredible! I really enjoyed electronic music, so I was excited to finally have the complete experience.
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
My neighbor in my apartment complex.
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
Just seeing so much unity and how welcoming everyone was! I was just talking and dancing with complete strangers and it was so fun! I always had a hard time opening up to people and always was a bit withdrawn from crowds and people in general, but that night, I felt something change within me. I felt a mental block that I had been struggling with for so long just break right down! All I knew was I wanted more of this music, company, and feeling!
What is your favorite festival or event?
EDC, hands down!
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
Gosh, there are so many, I have a hard time choosing one, but I will say that I have really been feeling Excision’s “Rumble” this week. The heavy basslines and hard-hitting sounds just really energize and perk me up. It’s great for getting pumped up for the gym and make me want to add more reps and heavier weights.

Excision, Oliver Heldens, Rezz, Aly & Fila, Zoofunkion, Above & Beyond, Snails, Sullivan King, BTSM, and Claptone.
What are your favorite genres?
Riddim, Dubstep, Bass House, Electro, Trance, House, and Industrial.
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
I am very much a rave mom! I always make sure my friends are ok, and being safe! Also, if I see someone not enjoying themselves or looking upset I try to talk to them and help them out a bit.
Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?
In my spare time, besides going to festivals and events, I very much enjoy cooking, working out, spending time with my boyfriend, and playing video or board games!
