Creamfields is hoping to connect festival fans to their community by encouraging them to do volunteer work and introducing them to local charities and initiatives.
While we can hardly wait to experience Creamfields UK 2018, festival organizers have just announced a special event. The 10,000 Hours Foundation and Creamfields teamed up again in search of attendees looking to volunteer, and these select volunteers will be working a hostel for the homeless, The Halton Lodge, on Saturday, August 11.
Volunteers looking to be a part of the event need to apply via the online form at https://www.creamfields.com/10000hours. There is a limited amount of space available and volunteers can earn a ticket to the festival by volunteering from 9 am to 5 pm. Those interested must complete the application before Monday, August 6, so don’t delay!
Yousef, who is playing at Creamfields and hosting his own Circus arena this year, is confirmed to volunteer at the Halton Lodge. He’ll join the chosen volunteers in the introduction to volunteer work, including working in a kitchen, gardening, assisting with an array of holistic and mindfulness classes, and teaching residents of the Halton Lodge production skills in the on-site music studio.
The Halton Lodge provides shelter for those who are at risk of being homeless and those living on the streets. They provide a program of services and activities to help up to 66 people get back on their feet. Volunteers are crucial to the success of the services and activities.
A spokesperson from Halton Lodge expressed:
“All of us at Creative Support Halton Lodge are very excited to be partnering with Creamfields and 10,000 Hours this summer. Volunteers are an integral part of the work that we do to support people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We are looking forward to welcoming our new recruits.”
Camping passes are almost sold out for Creamfields, so snag yours via Ticketmaster and we’ll see you in August!
