What was your first electronic music event?

The first true electronic music event other than just going to a club was in 2001, the World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF) that took place in Ontario.

What/who influenced you to attend your first event?

My very good friend Jay. I loved the music from the moment I heard it!!

What is one moment from an event that was special and why?

It was my first outdoor camping festival so the whole entire experience was special to me, a novelty full of people and sounds.

What is your favorite festival or event?

EDC Las Vegas

What is your favorite electronic song and why?

“Beautiful” by Ferry Corsten. It makes me feel like I’m floating and free.

Who are your favorite artists?

Aly & Fila, Bryan Kearney, Cold Blue, Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, Old-School Armin van Buuren, and Solarstone.

What are your favorite genres?

Trance, Drum & Bass, and Techno.

What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?

I don’t feel like I have an identity, that’s why I love it so much. It feels like everyone drops all the labels and restrictions of who we have to be and we just meld into one unit of happiness, freedom, and love for the music.

Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?

The electronic music scene isn’t only music… it goes far beyond that, it’s a way of life. I have met the most amazing people in this scene, from all over the globe. It’s a universal language and I don’t know what I would have done in life if I had not discovered it. It was the first place I ever felt fully accepted as myself and like I was “home”.
