After teasing it with his fans, the details have finally been released for deadmau5’s full orchestral production, “where’s the drop?”!

Fans of deadmau5 who have been following him religiously know that he has been toying around with some orchestral sounds in the studio, effectively teasing fans with a future performance that would leave them speechless. Now, if you’re a die-hard fan of the mau5 and live in Los Angeles, you’re in luck as the news surrounding the first-ever performance, “where’s the drop?”, was just released!

Set to take place on April 1 at the legendary Wiltern in Los Angeles, deadmau5 and TIDAL have partnered up for the epic, full orchestral performance. Dubbed TIDAL X: deadmau5 “where’s the drop?”, this one night only affair is an all ages event that is a must-attend for fans of Joel’s work who want to see it in a different style.

Tickets for these shows will be made available for TIDAL members today (March 7) at 9:00 am PT with general on-sale launching tomorrow (March 8) at 9:00 am PT. TIDAL members can access the exclusive presale on TIDAL.com/us/deadmau5, or via the TIDAL mobile, web and desktop apps.

Can’t make it to the show? Sign up for that free trial anyways as fans from outside Los Angeles will be able to tune-in to watch the live stream of the show on April 1 as well!

For the performance, deadmau5 will be joined by a full orchestra that will perform his music re-envisioned by famed musical director Gregory Reveret. Having already expressed his interest in producing music on a full orchestral scale since working on 7 back in 2014, it was a meeting during “mau5trap Mondays” on Twitch that led to “where’s the drop?” coming to life.

Both deadmau5 and Reveret headed to the EastWest Studios to record the where’s the drop? album, which is due out for release on March 30 via mau5trap. The album will be exclusively available on streaming platform TIDAL, so grabbing that trial will not only give you access to the live stream of the show but also the new music from the mau5!
