The sirens are flickering as Monolink has announced his debut album, Amniotic, a hypnotic journey through 11 melodic tracks!
Hailing from Berlin, Germany, Steffen Linck, known as Monolink, has been blowing minds through his multi-instrumental live performances worldwide. Using Ableton, his guitar, and live vocals on stage during his performance, he is quickly creating a new and unique sound with American pop-electronica and underground Berlin techno. Monolink will be releasing Amniotic on April 20 via Embassy One, the daughter of the label, Embassy of Music.
Charting at #4 on iTunes Germany, Monolink’s single “Sirens” was released as a teaser for his debut album. The track has a danceable and lighthearted beat, but his guitar and vocals exude emotion. There’s something about the song that hits me in the feels as Monolink really knows how to take you on an emotive journey.
After his debut record is released, he will be heading to the US, Europe, and the UK on a three-month tour. He is slated to play at festivals like Coachella and Lightning in a Bottle in California. “EPs are popular with most producers and DJs in the electronic music scene. But I come from a band background and albums are unmatchable for me. I’m a huge fan of listening to large bodies of work from start to finish and taking a plunge into the world the artist has created. Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” is an example of an album that still fascinates me to this day.
Generally, I wanted “Amniotic” to have a tremendous tangible connection to life and nature, especially the lyrics. When you play gigs all over the world, your life takes place at airports, in cars or hotel rooms.
