Going down in history as one of the most recognizable anthems for love, Chris Malinchak shows us that the soft side of electronic dance music can be insanely infectious!

Every once in a while a track will come along that instantly bonds with the soul, speaking volumes to the spiritual impact that electronic love songs can invoke within our community. Featured in this years EDM Identity Valentine’s Day playlist, “So Good To Me” defines what a soft melodic simmer can have on hearts across the globe.

Although Chris Malinchak hails from the good ol’ red, white, and blue, “So Good To Me” would find its home on Ministry Of Sound, released back on May 5 of 2013, across the pond in the United Kingdom. Taking samples from “If This World Were Mine” by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, Malinchak delivers the house goods, culminating in a heartfelt anthem that will inspire even the iciest of hearts to fall in love on the dance floor.

It would come as no surprise that “So Good To Me” would rank high on the charts, debuting at number two just under “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk. It also peaked at number four in Belgium and the Republic of Ireland as well as hitting number seven in the Netherlands. Soon, the entire world would be privy to the sweet sounds that emanated from the very first beat and to this day, “So Good To Me” still holds its relevancy as one of the greatest house tracks to come along in the last decade.

Taking the track to the next level, a touching music video would emerge and in its wake would touch us deeper than ever before.

It takes us into the life of a little girl who runs outside to find that her best friend has gone missing. The girl would embark on her search, longing to find the pet that she loves so deeply. As the video moves along, I feel like we were all thinking and feeling the same thing – an emotional struggle that, unfortunately, many of us can relate to. But, in true dance music fashion, our souls would be lifted as when out of the blue a giraffe would emerge, sending chills of happiness through our hearts. A girl and her giraffe! Who would have thought!
