Taking place on September 14-16, Morocco’s Oasis Festival 2018 invites you to come dance under the stars of Marrakech with some of the finest names in the dance music industry setting the tone for the weekend. With three days of music to guide the way, the fourth edition of the Oasis Festival is sure to leave you breathless and full of incredible memories.
Making a rare appearance in the Moroccan scene, Oasis proudly announces that this year’s extravaganza will be headlined by techno pioneer and artistic visionary Carl Cox!
Joining in on all of the action, Chicago native and house music visionary Derrick Carter will be partnering up with Mixmag 2016’s DJ of the year The Black Madonna for some crazy back to back action that you are not going to want to miss! Want some more back to back shenanigans? Well, say no more because Honest Jon’s Records experimental producer Actress will join forces with electronic rock fusionist Mount Kimbie for a set that will drive you wild on the dance floor!
Digging into the solo acts of the weekend, is it the high energy beats that you crave? Have no fear because Nastia has that on lock. And how about some techno beats that dive down into the deep dark underworld? Dystopian label boss Rødhåd invites you to take a trip down the rabbit hole to dance with the shadows of the night. Legendary Beats in Space radio show host and label boss Tim Sweeney will also be joining in for some eclectic fun as well as the unpredictable Avalon Emerson who is primed and ready to add a bit of colorful flair with a set that ranges everywhere from techno to electro to acid!
Not sold just yet? Well if it is the club sounds that you crave then William Djoko, Denis Horvat, and Powder are the acts that will tickle your fancy as they focus on the high-class club soundtracks that promise to move the bodies on the dance floor. Also adding a bit of creative edge, Hyperdub’s synth-pop futurist Jessy Lanza will be laying down her own critically acclaimed mix of house, R&B, and electro.
Finally, a couple exclusive live shows will be the much-appreciated cherry on top as 100% Silk’s New York deep house star Octo Octa will be playing live, and music technology aficionado Paula Temple will take the energy to the next level by performing a very special hybrid set. And representing the local Moroccan scene, Monile and Kosh are ready to take their talent and unique musical expression to the grand stage!
