The man known all over the world as El Maestro needs no introduction. Hernan Cattaneo is not just an artist with a long-lasting career in the scene but is also one who is a pioneer. As a founding father of the underground house scene, when Catteneo’s name is listed on a lineup or at an event, house lovers flock to the area.

It’s no wonder, either. With 30 years in the scene, 11 albums, 30 singles, and 50 tracks, Cattaneo has had time to home his signature sound and show his unwavering passion for his art.

Cattaneo is considered one of Argentina’s biggest musical exports and is well reviewed in South America as well as all over the world. He’s a frequent player at Avalon but has also played at massive events and clubs such as Burning Man and London’s Ministry of Sound.

Though he’s a well-decorated artist, his most lasting effect in the scene is his mentorship. Cattaneo has championed the likes of Guy J, Henry Saiz, and Nick Warren when they were considered new talent. Through his label Sudbeat and his weekly radio show Resident, Cattaneo continues to give a platform for up-and-coming house artists to showcase their work.

Hernan Cattaneo will be paying an open-to-close set with none other than English DJ and producer Nick Warren!

In his over twenty years in the scene, Nick Warren has taken on multiple forms. He was formerly the tour DJ for Massive Attack and plays as the multi-genre Way Out West (W.O.W.) with Anjunadeep powerhouse Jody Wisternoff. Warren is quite a mix master as he has created remixes for the likes of MixMag and Lana Del Rey, alongside the widely successful Global Underground series, which he has been involved with eight times.

Nick Warren is truly a visionary, and though he is aligned more with a progressive house sound, he’s never shied away from experimenting with different style.
