Sasquatch! Music Festival returns to the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington this Memorial Day Weekend!

Sasquatch! Music Festival returns this May 26 – 28 for a weekend of great music and even better scenery. Lineup aside, the venue itself is enough reason for many to make the trip to Washington in order to experience the Gorge Amphitheater’s killer views of the Columbia River and Gorge Canyon. Known for its eclectic range of musical genres and artists, Sasquatch! was founded by Adam Zacks in 2002 and was built based on his notion that “there was an untapped demand for a certain kind of festival that catered to the eclectic tastes of music enthusiasts.” Historically, the lineup has featured indie-rock, electronic and rap music alike and this year doesn’t disappoint.

The 2017 lineup features big name artists like The Shins, Chance The Rapper and MGMT, along with Big Gigantic, Kaytranda and more. Since the nearest town is about 16 miles away from the venue, Sasquatch! is a camping-based event and although the amphitheater is only open Friday-Sunday, the camping grounds will be open as of 1 PM Thursday to those with a valid festival wristband. So what are you waiting for? Dig up that tent I know you have buried somewhere in your garage and rally your friends because the ultimate Memorial Day Weekend is less than 20 days away!

Sydney Grant

Sydney attributes her love for music from her mom, who insisted on playing The Foo Fighters and The White Stripes rather than Kiss FM whenever she drove carpool and agreed to allow Sydney to attend Coachella in the eighth grade as long as she could go with her. That first festival only greater affirmed Sydney’s passion for the scene, but it was not until 2013 when she attended Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour concert in Los Angeles that she discovered electronic music. She was hooked instantly and has since attended a total of 23 festivals, with countless concerts in between. Sydney’s favorite artists include RL Grime, Jauz, Jai Wolf, Louis The Child, Slander, Bearson and Big Gigantic but she is constantly on the look out for new music and artists to dance to. When she’s not scouring the internet for new tracks or grooving at a concert, Sydney studies Journalism and Biology full-time at the University of Oregon.
