Dreamstate San Francisco month is finally here and there are tons of great artists on the line-up!
It’s time again for trance families to unite under the roof of San Francisco’s Bill Graham Theater. Dreamstate San Francisco holds a special place in my heart as it was the first Dreamstate event I attended; it was an amazing experience full of new friends and wonderment. For Dreamstate SF 2017 I’m looking forward to the recurring artists, artists that did not play Dreamstate SF 2016, and the multiple collaborations and aliases.

Abisola’s Top Picks at Dreamstate SF 2017
Ferry Corsten (Producers Set)
In the past few years, Ferry has been very focused and dedicated to his ethereal Gouryella alias. Though it’s been amazing hearing this style the last few times I’ve seen him, it will be nice to hear more of Ferry’s other styles. He’s been in the music game for years and has produced and released music under multiple alias and collaborations such as System F, Vimana, Veracocha, New World Punx and many many others. In this producer’s set, it will be great to hear a mash-up of all of his different styles. Also as a massive science fiction nerd, I’m excited about the Blueprint concept and am ready to hear it live!
Markus Schulz presents Dakota
Ever since Markus Schulz dropped the news that his Dakota alias would be making a return, the trance world has gone wild. Prior to his announcement his latest sets and tracks have been very progressive so I’m looking forward to hearing this deeper, darker side of him. Check out this in-depth interview HERE where Markus Schulz discusses Nine Skies and the return of Dakota.
Liquid Ace (Liquid Soul and Ace Ventura)
Whenever two big names come together to create a unified sound, the output is bound to be amazing. I’m not going to lie, I don’t follow psytrance as closely as other subsets of trance but what I have heard, I’m definitely liking. As one of the three psytrance tracks on the line-up, I’m looking forward to this set the most as it’s one that has not been on a Dreamstate line-up in the past. As it’s rare to see Liquid Soul and Ace Ventura play as Liquid Ace in the United States, this is one set I definitely don’t want to miss!
Bryan Kearney
As a huge fan of tech-trance, I’m excited to hear what Kearney is going to bring to the event. Each one of his tech-trance tracks has that driving, heart-pumping beat that arouses a fire within me. He’s also a multi-trance genre master and makes multiple uplifting tracks that bring the feels and sprinkles a few psy tracks in his repertoire. Whatever your preference may be, I dare you to listen to any of his sets and resist the urge to move! I also personally love that you don’t see him in the lineup for many massives so each time I see him, it’s a treat and he never disappoints.
PureNRG
PureNRG has an amazing way of making deeply moving tracks. What’s even more incredible is the way they produce their sound. Their sets are 100% live set and an amalgamation of the pure trance master Solarstone and innovative musician, Giuseppe Ottaviani’s, unique styles. Though I’ve had a few opportunities to witness this magical collaboration in person, they never panned out so I’m looking forward to finally seeing them for the first time.
