Dirtybird just got taken to the MAXimono…
Sorry for that horrible pun, but the excitement and enthusiasm should be felt nonetheless. A few days ago, Dirtybird favorites Maximono revealed that they will be flying out of the nest on their very own Non Sense tour, all in time for the May 12th release of their upcoming Select EP. Select will be a rather short EP consisting of only two tracks, but they are promising some grimy, dizzying percussion with the iconic dark hues that have become known for.The Non Sense Tour covers ten cities coast to coast, including Chicago, Seattle, Orlando, Phoenix, El Paso, Portland, Dallas, and Austin. Some cities have yet to be announced, so stay tuned. I will see you at the Orlando date!
The duo is known all through Europe for their drum and bass style, and as someone who has experienced what the European drum and bass scene has to offer, I could not be more excited to see Maximono gaining support in the US scene. The North American EDM scene could use a little drum and bass revival – we need to stop treating drum and bass like the Meg Griffin of electronic music and see the Stewie Griffin potential it really has. Pay attention to these two dudes – they have been vetted and added to the EDC Las Vegas lineup. Maximono has no rules, and they have no allegiance to any sub-genre. They inspire chaos and anarchy and will surely be a force to be reckoned once they touch down on American soil. In the meantime, give them a listen and be sure to spot the dates the Non Sense tour will be flying into your city below!
