Illenium Amazes Yet Again With “Sound Of Walking Away”!

Just when you thought Illenium couldn’t get any better, today he released another beautiful, emotionally charged single “Sound of Walking Away.”

One of the most-loved rising stars of dance music gave us a nice little treat this Monday morning. Illenium released his newest single, “Sound of Walking Away,” featuring the beautiful vocals of Kerli and a bass drop signature of Illenium’s style. The gentle guitar lead-in is quickly joined by Kerli’s vocals, building into an uplifting, melodic drop. The track tells the heartfelt story of leaving the person you love after being mistreated again and again. While sad, the song gives off an empowering message and call to action– conquer your fears and take your life into your own hands:

Weren’t listening but now there’s no way you won’t hear
There’s a voice emerging in the noise so loud and clear
And I turn it up like you turned me down, I’m not afraid
Hit play, hit play
It’s the sound of walking away

2017 has already been a huge year for Illenium. He kicked things off with well-received collaborations with Gryffin and Seven Lions, as well as his own single, “Fractures.” Each time Illenium releases a new track or album I’m continually amazed; he never fails to deliver heartfelt pieces that I can listen to over and over. He’s made serious moves within the past year, his remixes of The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down” and Flume’s “Say It” racking up tens of millions of plays on SoundCloud.

With appearances at Beyond Wonderland and Phoenix Lights, festival season is in full swing for the bass producer. This summer you can catch him at Middlelands, Electric Forest, Firefly, Shambhala, and many more. Check out his full 2017 show schedule below!
