Insomniac is bringing their Dreamstate brand to Canada on May 13th as part of the North American Paul van Dyk tour!
Insomniac took the North American crowd by storm when they hosted the first Dreamstate event in late November 2015 in San Bernardino. The event boasted an all trance lineup, some of the biggest names in the genre, and fantastic visual and audio productions. This part of the world yearned for an event like this for the longest time. With the show selling out in under 24 hours, the brand quickly became a staple. Fast forward 18 months, and we’ve seen Dreamstate shows in Australia, United Kingdom, and various locations in the United States. In anticipation for this year’s Dreamstate San Francisco, the first Dreamstate club night tour launched. The aim of this tour is to bring the festival experience to cities that are yet to host any Dreamstate show.
Spanning 12 shows between April 29th and May 27th, Insomniac is proud to present their biggest name on the roster, none other than Paul Van Dyk, as the headliner of all the events. Over the course of the last 25 years, Paul has mesmerized, energized, and provided memorable moments for millions of his fans. He’s been at the center of the genre since its infancy and remains a cornerstone of the sound to this day. He’s toured the world countless times bringing his patented high tempo, driving trance to the dance floor night in and out. After his massive injury at A State of Trance 750 last year, Paul returned with a vengeance and premiered his first single in over a year entitled, “Touched By Heaven”, at last year’s Dreamstate in San Bernardino.
Joining Paul in his venture are Vini Vici, Simon Patterson, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Heatbeat, and Solarstone, as each event promises to deliver a distinctive take on the world of trance.

Dreamstate took this opportunity to make its first voyage North of the border into Canada. This occasion also marks the two year anniversary since Paul Van Dyk last played in Montreal as part of the Politics of Dancing 3 world tour. New City Gas will yet again act as the host in what promises to be a bombastic night. As we’ve grown accustomed to from past experiences, I expect Insomniac to take full advantage of the large screens and bright lights and lasers setup to give us a well-produced show. Coupled with Paul’s love for trance music, this promises to be one hell of a night! I hope to see some of you out on the dancefloor.
