Coachella Fam, we apparently have our new Saturday Night Headliner, Lady Gaga!

In a report by Billboard today, according to their source, Lady Gaga will officially be replacing Beyoncé in Indio this year at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. For those of you unaware, Beyoncé will be headlining the festival in 2018 too, get details on that HERE. Of course, after Beyoncé stepped down from the slot due to doctor’s orders, speculation ran rampant on the Coachella Message Boards, Reddit, and Facebook alike. Major names like Nine Inch Nails, Frank Ocean, Rihanna, and of course Daft Punk, were brought up as replacement headliners for her. This was all based off speculation of course. Lada Gaga was among those many names too, so congratulations for those of you who guessed correctly!

Lada Gaga recently performed at Super Bowl LI in Houston this year to much fanfare. She will be adding the two weekends of Coachella to her already jam-packed year, as her world tour kicks off this summer. Lady Gaga’s Joanne World Tour, which was announced after the Super Bowl performance earlier this month, begins on August 1. According to Billboard’s source, having a female headliner replace Beyoncé was important in their decision process, and she will be the first female headliner since 2007 when Björk took the stage in Indio!
