Few are blessed with the coordination and talent required to shuffle and/or cut shapes, which is why I wanted to showcase a few amazing individuals. Whether you’re just starting out or are enamored with their fluid steps, here are 6 shufflers you should follow.
Gabby David aka @gabbyjdavid
Gabby David is an inspiration to many, especially to those suffering from a neurological disorder. If you’re not familiar with her story, take some time to read Insomniac’s article titled How the Rave Community Helped This Dancer Overcome Her Darkest Hours. She is both brave and extremely talented as shown through her story and countless dance videos.
Elena Cruz aka @ecruz_n
You may remember Elena Cruz from our 6 Festival Goddesses You Should Follow article as the star of 3LAU’s “Is It Love” music video. Follow her on Instagram to discover new music and to see how her style continues to progress.
AG Mendoza aka @_agmendoza & Marc Jennings aka @marc_pauz of @teamswagshuffle
Holding it down for the bay is Team Swag Shuffle’s AG Mendoza and Marc Jennings, who consistently show the world how smooth shuffling/cutting shapes can be. Follow Team Swag Shuffle’s main account to check out the rest of their immensely talented team.
Rica aka @rica.senpai
For those of you looking to learn a few moves, Rica is the perfect senpai. In Japan, senpai is an upperclassman, someone of a higher age, or senior. So follow her and maybe you’ll pick up a move or two. 🙂
Sabrina aka @rebelindustry
Sabrina is known for her high energy and positive attitude that makes her stand out from the masses. For those of you in Toronto, Sabrina also teaches several dance classes so you can learn to shuffle first hand with the best.
