There is a winter chill in the air but come mid-month, things will be heating up down in Mexico when the BPM Festival kicks off their 10 year anniversary!
Among the incredible lineup is techno taste-maker ALX, a producer that has been known to combine deep rumbling sounds with an energized groovy twist, drawing inspiration from artists such as Adam Beyer, Victor Calderone, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin, and Carl Cox. ALX, or Alex Sanchez, has been passionate about music since as far back as he can remember and after one fateful evening that found him messing around with a friend’s DJ equipment, his creativity was unleashed and a unique style of techno was born. Add to that a little flavor from his hometown of Miami and the result has been nothing short of game changing. Today, ALX continues to take the scene by storm with epic performances at the world-renowned scenes of Club Space, Nikki Beach, and Mansion in Miami.

In November 2014, ALX delved into a new territory of the industry, launching his very own record label and party brand called Descend Records. 2016 saw the Descend label/party brand touch down at ADE (Amsterdam), Electric Festival (Aruba) and Baum (Bogota) among many others. And this is the brand that he will highlight at the highly anticipated 10 year anniversary of The BPM Festival. The Descend artists who will be joining ALX include Oscar L, Hugo Bianco, Carabetta & Doons and Hanie. Yes, these incredible music makers will all be present and accounted for, working the dance floor with their own unique techno interpretations.
So where can you catch these Descend label artists, as BPM certainly has quite a few events happening all at the same time? Patio 8 will be their host. An outdoor-indoor venue located smack dab in the middle of the festival. Patio 8 boasts a sexy, intimate atmosphere for those who want to cool off with a sweet beverage while vibing to the deep, rhythmic beats flooding the airwaves. The event will be powered by Miami’s Revolution Radio, who will be live streaming the night’s soundtrack so no-one has to miss out on an evening that will go down in history…But wait, there’s more! Joining ALX will be none other than another one of techno’s greatest exports, the prominent DJ duo Pan-Pot! Plus a surprise guest! Ok, now you can get really excited!!
