NGHTMRE Takes a Spin on Slander’s Track “Dead”

One of my favorite tracks in Slander’s newly released ‘Duality’ EP is NGHTMRE’s remix of their massive song “Dead.” As always, NGHTMRE delivers with an incredible take on an already hugely successful track.

Slander’s Duality EP, released November 18th, 2016, contains seven tracks remixing their originals “Dead” and “Love Again.” Talents like YOOKIE, WAVS, Adam K, and Pairanoid are featured on the EP, but I have to say NGHTMRE’s remix stands out the most. His melodic take on the widely acclaimed heavy trap song, “Dead,” slows the track down a bit while still keeping with some hard-hitting drums and bass. It keeps with the original’s two-drop format, giving us two very different yet very impressive drops.

NGHTMRE and Slander have teamed up for years now, their long-term friendship and similar music styles driving an abundance of successful collaborations between the two. Their joint EP ‘Nuclear Bonds‘ killed it with over 700,000 downloads via Bittorent, and their remixes of each other’s tracks always seem to put a remarkable spin on the originals. Tracks like “We Like to Party (Slander & NGHTMRE Festival Trap Remix),” Warning, and Red Lips (Slander & NGHTMRE remix) are staples in bass sets of countless artists and have helped establish both NGHTMRE and Slander at the forefront of the bass/trap music scene.

Currently, NGHTMRE and Slander are in the middle of their “Gud Vibrations” Tour together, which will hit over thirty stops from the beginning of November until the end of December. After the huge success of their two sold-out nights of “Gud Vibrations” shows at the Hollywood Palladium this past July, they’ve brought their incredible B2B set to the rest of the country on their bus tour.

Check out upcoming tour dates HERE.
