NGHTMRE
Kicking things off is one of the current leaders of the bass music scene, NGHTMRE. Whether you know him for his collaborations with artists like Flux Pavilion on “Feel Your Love”, remixes of massive tracks like RL Grime’s “Aurora”, or his solo work, he has definitely turned into a force to be reckoned with. This is your best opportunity to catch him before the ‘Gud Vibrations Tour‘ kicks into full gear later this fall. Stream his latest collaboration with Zeds Dead, “Frontlines” (ft. GG Magree), below!
Donald Glaude
Let me tell you something real quick, while it has never been my total number one, I have a deep love for the house genre. It is music that can make a dance floor move, and it doesn’t matter if you’re playing it in front of 10 people or 10,000 people. An originator of the west coast style of house, his history with the rave scene dates back to the 90’s. He is a must-know for anyone who says they appreciate house music today, and I hope that you’ll be dancing with me at his set! Check out his latest ‘This Is Me’ Mixes on SoundCloud, as he plays a variety of genres to help expand your knowledge. Donald’s tribute to Prince was also well received, check out his mashup “Cry Doves” below!
Shaun Frank
What more can I tell you about this rising star in the scene? Shaun Frank has stolen my heart as one of the most impressive artists as of late, and clearly he has no plans on stopping any time soon. I have been blown away by his performances at events like Halfway 2 EDC and it seems like the tracks he is dropping just keep gaining in popularity. If you happen to miss his set at Sundown, don’t fret because you’ll be able to catch him during ‘The Getaway Tour‘ in a city near you. Check out our interview with the man himself HERE or his latest track “Let You Get Away” below!
Saeed Younan
I could probably talk your ear off all day about the longevity of Saeed Younan’s career. Born in Iraq, but now a resident of Washington DC, Saeed’s career has spanned nearly ever major moment of the electronic music scene. Beginning his career in 1988, he comes from an era in which the concept of a rave was still in its infancy and the technology we have today was just a pipe dream. He’ll be coming to the decks at Sundown Music Festival fresh of a set at Carl Cox’s ‘The Final Countdown #14’ show at Space Ibiza, so I’d highly suggest you be in the crowd for this master of house, techno, and tech house!
Erick Morillo
Returning to Sundown Music Festival in 2016 after headlining the fest last year, Erick Morillo will be taking the “Shipwreck Stage” to close out the festival on Sunday! This platinum selling artist has a career spanning multiple hits and genres, the Subliminal Records Label Boss can truly be called a master of electronic music. Working with artists ranging from Boy George to P.Diddy, he returned to the scene in 2014 after a brief hiatus and hasn’t looked back since. Check out his track “Oooh” which was released last month below!
