Doctor P just released a two-track EP titled ‘Show Me Love / Snakes & Ladders.’
If you’re a fan of bass music, then you definitely know Doctor P. The English dubstep producer has been very prevalent in the scene since around 2009 and has not slowed down ever since. Between creating hits such as “Sweet Shop” and “Tetris,” the man stays busy managing Circus Records along Flux Pavilion, DJ Swan-E, and Earl Falconer. Along with managing the record label, Doctor P is always playing a slew of shows across the country. His most recent feat was a triple back to back slot with Cookie Monsta and FuntCase and EDC Las Vegas. Coming off his collab “Party Drink Smoke” with Flux Pavilion, Doctor P has unexpectedly dropped his two song EP ‘Show Me Love / Snakes & Ladders’ and per usual, it’s absolutely amazing!
“Show Me Love” begins with minimal chords and a vocal that sets the tone of the song. Between a few glitch type sounds, the song builds up fairly quickly into a relentless onslaught of synths and bass, only separated by that same vocal from the beginning.
From the beginning of “Snakes & Ladders,” you can tell that Doctor P channeled his signature style for this one. The intro is something out of a video game and primes you for the entire song. The drop is typical Doctor P craziness – absolutely something you would head-bang to!
Between the two, I heavily prefer “Snakes & Ladders,” but listen for yourself and decide. Purchase the EP HERE.
