If you’ve been alive in the past 10 years, it’s almost a guarantee that you’ve listened to this song at least once. “Everytime We Touch” is a quintessential dance track that transcends dance music genres.

The day was August 16th, 2005 when the German trio group Cascada introduced “Everytime We Touch” to the world. Technically considered to be part of the Eurodance genre, it was adopted in many more circles and has distinctive pop elements to it. The song is so recognizable that it has almost reached “Sandstorm” levels of notoriety, being played out everywhere from big name clubs, to your local rollerskating rink and everywhere in between. People have even gone on to make videos poking fun at how they react to the song.

Over the past 11 years “Everytime We Touch” has accumulated numerous accolades to its credit. It had massive traction with almost excessive radio play, peaking at #1 on music charts in Ireland and Sweden, top 5 in Austria, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, and top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. The track has also been certified Platinum (>1,000,000 sales) by the RIAA in the United States. One thing is for certain, this track is sure not to go anywhere and it will likely go down in dance music history as one of the most iconic dance music tracks ever.
