Back in 2010, when electronic dance music was stepping into spotlight, Insomniac Events decided to create a documentary highlighting the ‘Electric Daisy Carnival Experience.’ This documentary, instead of focusing on the headliners like the later movie ‘Under The Electric Sky’, focused on the event itself. Showing off the amount of talent, art, and entertainment. There are the small number of interviews with various headliners, but mostly with the artists themselves. Released in 2011 this documentary is a great look back at the event’s final year in Los Angeles before heading to Sin City.
The Electric Daisy Carnival is now in its twentieth year and it is amazing to see that the message of EDC has remained the same over that period of time, “Come one, come all. Come in peace, or don’t come at all.” While the size of the event has grown over the years, the popular genres have changed, and people have come and gone, the only things that have changed about EDC has been the production quality and location. Since the move to Las Vegas in 2011, EDC has become bigger than ever before, and transformed into a well-known brand. Headliners from all over the world travel here to experience it. The aura is truly indescribable. It’s amazing to see it in its early days. Enjoy.
