In 2010, Daft Punk partnered with Walt Disney Records to create an amazing album. Tron Legacy, the follow-up to the 80s cult classic, Tron, was accompanied by a 24-track soundtrack composed by the French duo. The soundtrack topped the UK Dance, US Digital Album, Dance/Electronic and Soundtrack Albums charts and is certified Gold in Australia, France and the US. The soundtrack and movie also lead to the almost two-year of ElecTRONica, a nighttime dance party set aka “rave light” in Disney’s California Adventure.
Derezzed was used to promote the film and was later remixed by both The Glitch Mob and Kaskade for subsequent Walt Disney Records albums. In true Tron fashion, the music video depicts an arcade and a light-cycle joust then introduces one of the film’s protagonist. The video is a must watch for Daft Punk and Tron fans alike.
