Electric Zoo has been on the forefront of controversy over the past few years. Just like any festival that faces adversity, changes have been brought in to help attempt to correct issues of the past. In 2014, “Zookeepers” were introduced after the event shut down a day early in 2013 due to the passing of two of its attendees. Tighter security was no match for mother nature, as the event was cut short due to terrible weather conditions.
2015 brought the “transformed” festival back on track. Outside of some complaints from big spender, Dan Blizerian, who dropped $650,000 on a private VIP area, the event went off without much else in regards to issues. Electric Zoo has released the official aftermovie for the event! Produced and Directed by NAVIGATE, it captures last summer’s NYC festival with tracks by performers Galantis, Lemaitre, Dirty South and Adventure Club.
