Psytrance was a different beast back in 2007 and nobody could harness it’s power quite like Infected Mushroom did when they released their ‘Vicious Delicious’ album. “Becoming Insane” was one of their (if not the most) popular tracks they have released. Between the fast paced steel guitar, heart pounding bass, and multi-lingual lyrics. What more could you ask for?
[Trigger warning: repetitive self harm; punching faces and running into walls]

Personal thoughts: Tracks like Becoming Insane were before the vastness of music sharing nowadays. You might have heard this song on the radio once or twice only if you were up really late. Infected Mushroom holds a special place in our hearts because word of mouth was what really made these guys famous. People heard about these guys, and they they have always been quite talented, and people shared songs like these because it was so different. This Throwback Thursday song was chosen because it is special for how different it was compared to the pop culture. For context, some of the top 100 songs that year: “Irreplaceable” by Beyoncé, “Hey There Delilah” by Plain White T’s, and “Rehab” by Amy Winehouse. Electronic Music wasn’t even in the top 100 back then, yet these guys still had reputation.
