The year was 2010 and Dutch House was still reigning supreme with artists like Chuckie, Laidback Luke, and of course Afrojack dominating lineups around the world. Not only did Dutch House become heavily popular with the rave community, but with the mainstream airwaves as well. Afrojack teamed up with Eva Simons to release their hit track “Take Over Control” and infected the radio waves and sets played by DJs in the subsequent years. Still receiving play today at shows from time to time, the lyrics and beat always bring back memories of the years during expansion of EDM deeper into the United States.
