So here we are, after 10 weeks of getting to know the men on the Dreamstate lineup. We have reached the pinnacle. The final DJ that will rock the Damus building this Friday at the NOS events center in San Bernardino, California. He is Will Atkinson and one of the most anticipated sets of the weekend. Incredibly, at the young age of 7, this man was already mixing tracks! Fast forward to age 14 and he was on to the next step leading to super stardom, producing his own music! Simply impressive! Growing up in Glasgow, UK, Will Atkinson was destined to become a huge player in the electronic dance music scene.

Noting Judge Jules as his reason for getting into dance music, Will struck up a friendship with him that led to Jules giving Atkinson his first ever radio airplay with the track “Perpetual Sunrise”. And to top it off, Will joined Jules to play at Digital, Newcastle with the event being recorded for BBC Radio 1’s In New Music We Trust. The stage was set for success and Atkinson went on to claim numerous number 1 spots on Beatport in the trance, psytrance, and breaks charts. His productions have even been signed to some of the biggest labels in the scene like Armade, FSOE, Subculture, Perfecto Fluoro, Spinnin Records, Vandit, and Monster Records. To top it all off, Will has staked claim to many remixes of productions created by none other than the biggest names in trance like Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila, John O’ Callaghan, Giuseppe Ottavian, Simon Patterson, and Alex Morph!
Wanting to spread his wings farther into the trance genre he would soon give birth to his “Dark Boy” alias. With this movement Will would continue to grow in his production, entering the darker psytrance side of the scene, releasing “Darker Shades of Black”. Of course, without question, this release quickly hit number 1 on the Beatport psytrance chart. Now, touring all over the world, Will Atkinson brings a broad spectrum of trance ranging from psy to tech to uplift to dark. This is a man who has unleashed the trance fire at festivals such as Creamfields, Trance Energy, Global Gathering and Judgement Sundays. And this weekend he will make history with us at the first ever Dreamstate! The man who brought us “Numb The Pain”, Sharpshooter”, “Fresh Meat”, and “Harvester” is coming to make his mark.
