Throwback Thursday: Delerium – Silence (DJ Tiësto In Search Of Sunrise Remix)

When people ask me what I think about artists that have careers that now span multiple decades, it is sometimes hard for me to shake off who that DJ used to be. Artists morph and change over the years and Tiësto is no exception to that rule. If you blindfolded someone who had never heard his music before, put this track on and then followed it up with a track that Tiësto has recently produced, I doubt they would even connect the two as being from the same person.

I personally would love to see Tiësto return to his classic trance roots some day before he ends his career, but I can completely understand the direction he took while jumping genres to house. “Silence”, a massive track from Delerium, was released all the way back in 1999. With remixes being released in 2000, the track definitely stood the test of time. Tiësto put his spin on “Silence” while he was still producing trance, and the In Search Of Sunrise Remix can be seen in the EDM history books as one of the classics of the entire genre.

Silence (DJ Tiësto In Search Of Sunrise Remix) was one of the first experiences I ever had with electronic music. I have a deep love for this track, so I hope that you all enjoy it as much as I have over the years.
