As we begin to approach the autumn Season, what better fitting song to kick off October beginning than a song named “October”? Today’s Throwback Thursday is from the amazing Deadmau5 off his very experimental album, > album title goes here <, “October” was one of the lesser publicized tracks but still quite a good one. I like this song because it shows that his songs aren’t the same; that even at the top of the EDM world, he can still show his range. His take on progressive house is still uplifting and this song in particular was quite mellow as well. “October” is as smooth as pumpkin spice and sounds just as good. This song wasn’t going to be an anthem song that massives will break out flailing over, but rather a song to play while driving around and just looking to relax. This is what I personally love about the month of October, just enjoying fall and the overall ambiance. (At least until midterms begin!)
> album title goes here < had decent reviews from critics, but unsurprisingly had better user ratings. Billboard 200 awarded > album title goes here < a #6 spot, his highest ever with the chart, although only for a very short period of time.
