When someone asks me for a defining song of a genre, a song that when you think of the genre the beat automatically pops into your head, sometimes it isn’t the easiest thing to do. Trance is a different case for me. Someone asks me that and I immediately have a collection of songs that have not only been the definition of the genre, but also songs that have stood the test of time.
Originally released nearly 2 decades ago in 1998, “9pm(Till I Come)” has stood the test of time. Originally peaking at #14 on the German Singles Chart, it entered the UK Chart at #1 and stayed there for 2 weeks. While ATB may not play this song in his current sets, he definitely will always tease the crowd with it from time to time.
