Bass Modulators took to social media to drop the news that they are splitting up as a duo after 15 years of service to the harder styles.

Ever since the early days of hardstyle, Bass Modulators have helped the euphoric style reach unbelievable heights through their electrifying energy and infectious sound. For 15 years, this powerhouse duo has delivered countless memories to all of their fans while creating a body of work that undoubtedly puts their names in the category of hardstyle legends.

There’s almost nothing left for this duo to prove or achieve as they’ve done it all from touring the biggest festivals and shows all over the world, creating hit records such as “Let Me See Ya,” “Oxygen,” and “Solar” with Noisecontrollers, along with having the honor of creating the Defqon.1 Weekend Festival anthem in 2016. Despite this incredible track record, Bass Modulators have made the painful decision to split up as a duo.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bass Modulators experienced financial problems, much like many of their colleagues. Because of this, Roland Evers, one half of the duo, had to search for a new career as he had to fulfill the financial responsibility of having two kids and a family. In the video statement posted to Instagram, Roland explained that this career interest had grown so much over the past two years, and it was a logical decision for him to follow this new path. In addition, he lost much of his ambition for music as he was already struggling with traveling and making appearances.

Fortunately, this was an amicable split. Rick and Roland have no problems with each other as they have a 26-year friendship as the foundation of their relationship. This also doesn’t mean the end of Bass Modulators, as Rick Mitchells will carry on the name in the future.

Additionally, Rick mentioned in the video that he has a new project in the works and told fans to be on the lookout for more information coming in the near future. It’s an exciting time to be a fan of the Bass Modulators project, and it’s also a great time to give thanks to Roland for his years of dedication and service to the harder styles. He will be missed, but there’s no doubt that the entire scene wishes him the best in his future endeavors!

Bass Modulators will play one final time as a duo very soon at the first-ever label event by Art of Creation dubbed Chronicles on November 12 at Central Studios Utrecht in The Netherlands. The duo is performing three incredible shows in one night that spans the entire 15 years of Bass Modulators plus the final NCBM show for the foreseeable future. Make sure to snag your tickets on the Art of Creation website to catch the epic climax in the Bass Modulators story and stick around to see how the project evolves with a fresh start!
