What was your first electronic music event?
My first show was Tiesto’s Elements of Life Tour back in 2006.
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
I remember one of my good friends playing it in our college dorm while we were getting ready for finals. I found myself honestly intrigued by it and coincidentally I learned Tiesto was gonna be in town the next month. Ended up at the show and the rest was history. I started going to big festivals after running into a friend at a wedding who mentioned Ultra and EDC Las Vegas to me.
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
Honestly, there have been so many that it’s hard to pick just one so I’m gonna give two very special moments. The first is actually a really funny story involving my first big festival Ultra 2013. My friend Salem and I had traveled to the Intercontinental right next to the festival to meet some friends prior to the start of day one.
While waiting for them in the lobby I opened my Camelbak front pocket looking for something and unbeknownst to me, my Ultra ticket had fallen right out. An hour later as we were about to head to the festival I realized what had happened and panicked running back praying that it would be found. I found nothing but a cleaning guy who started helping me look and just when I gave up hope he checked his trash and found my missing ticket!
Another incredible moment was at BPM festival a couple of years ago. Solomun ended up doing a pop-up show right outside our hotel and it was incredible watching the swarm of people enjoying his set from the balcony area!
What is your favorite festival or event?
My personal favorite festival would have to be EDC Las Vegas… it’s had such a big impact in my life over the years and even though I haven’t gone in the last couple of years it’s always a joy seeing people post or talk about it.
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
My personal favorite song would have to be “Allein” by Eric Prydz. Honestly, it’s one of those songs that you can’t help but smile at.

Techno, House, and Psytrance
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
I feel my identity is one where I try to help everyone I meet to ensure they have a fun and safe time!

Have fun! Enjoy the music and take the time if you can to explore and enjoy the world around you. Music and dancing are ways for all cultures to express themselves. I once found myself in a country where I couldn’t even speak a single phrase in their language but went to a random show and had an insane time!
