What was your first electronic music event?
Ultra Music Festival Miami 2013
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
My friends influenced me to go. It was the thing to do in Miami every time Ultra came around. I honestly went to just to party because I knew nothing about the scene yet. I didn’t even have a ticket to get in so I found my way in the last day just in time to watch Swedish House Mafia’s last performance. It was incredible and I couldn’t even comprehend what I was watching until years later.
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
The most special moment I have had at a festival was when I transitioned from a raver to an artist. It was at Life In Color Miami 2014. I was watching Headhunterz for the first time and he changed my life. I wanted to do what he was doing for the rest of my life. I had never even thought about DJing before that moment.
What is your favorite festival or event?
My favorite festival is Ultra. The lineup is incredible every year and they do a good job of bringing artists that you won’t be able to see at every other festival along with the big headliners. Ultra is also home for me, it’s like a tradition in Miami.
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
My favorite song is “Reload”. I will never forget the first time I heard it at Ultra in 2013. It was the first time I had ever seen thousands of people jumping at the same time and being so happy listening to a song, it brings back great memories. Other than the memories I also love the vocals and melody, it’s so uplifting.
Who are your favorite artists?
My favorite artists are Kayzo, Headhunterz, Arty, Audien, Kaskade, Gammer, Nicky Romero, Afrojack, and Swedish House Mafia.
What are your favorite genres?
My favorite genres are Progressive House, Psytrance, Hardcore, and Hardstyle.
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
For the people who know me, I think my identity is someone who is on the rise, a great DJ, and someone who will die doing what I love to do.
Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?
If you like hard dance, check my music out. I haven’t released a lot of progressive house yet.
