The first artists set to take the stage at EDC China’s debut edition include Alison Wonderland, Malaa, and deadmau5.
After announcing the dates for the debut edition of EDC China late last month, the rumors began to swirl surrounding exactly who would be taking the stage at the festival! Set to be hosted in the heart of Shanghai at the Shanghai International Music Park on Sunday, April 29 and Monday, April 30, EDC China is intent on bringing that signature Insomniac vibe to the country.
Collaborating with Zebra Entertainment Enterprise on the event, Insomniac already announced that EDC China would feature three standalone stages, as well as the Boombox Art Car, but now we know who will be providing the soundtrack. Today, Insomniac unleashed the initial list of artists that will be playing the festival later this spring including the likes of deadmau5, Hardwell, Oliver Heldens, Tchami, and many more.
We loved seeing the additions of FISHER, Habstrakt, and Alison Wonderland, who will all be bringing their stylings to the event in full force. Expect to see some epic sets from these acts and definitely don’t sleep on the performances by Virtual Riot b2b Barely Alive and Andy C who will be bringing some quality bass music to the festival.
The lineup is definitely a great start for the inaugural edition of the festival, bringing some diversity to the table. The range in style definitely highlights the realms of house and bass while somewhat leaving trance and hard dance out of the equation. Perhaps those genres will find some love on the future phases.
